Trip to York

We headed up to York to celebrate Father's Day a weekend early and got to spend some quality time at Grandpa and G-ma's house playing in the pool and try out her poolside attire. Hopefully they don't mind us dropping in this summer for some quality pool time. We even managed a visit to Grammy and Grampy's house, where Audrey learned how to play peek-a-boo in Grammy's drapes. Tons of fun for everyone.

I'm Facing Which Way Now?

We had been squeezing every last use out of Audrey's infant car seat until we were able to face her forward (after 12 months). So after her 12 month check-up (19 lbs. 10 oz. (25th %ile) and 30 inches (50th)), we went ahead and upgraded her to her convertible car seat. She isn't very interested in the DVD player, but seems not to mind facing forward too much. Although the first few rides she seemed really confused - can't blame her though she's been facing backward her whole life!

Happy Birthday!!

Audrey is officially one year old today (June 10). We can't believe how quickly the time has gone, and how much fun we've had watching her grow and learn so much so quickly. We were fortunate to have a ton of family and friends help us celebrate her first year over the weekend. We're pretty sure she didn't know what was going on (especially when we sang to her), but we think she had fun nonetheless. We have her 1 year check-up with the doctor on Thursday, so we're hoping she'll give us the go ahead to face her forward in the car, stop using her carrier altogether (we really stretched that!), and start giving her whole milk instead of the disgusting soy formula. She's had 2% a couple of times already, and seems to like it. We'll update post doctor appointment. In the meantime, here are some pics from the party...feels like our little baby's all growns up...

Spring Cleaning

Apparently Audrey also likes to help out around the house...we were doing some spring cleaning this weekend, not realizing she was even paying attention to what we were doing. But once she got a napkin in her hand, she decided to help out. Looks like we might be able to assign some chores sooner than we thought!!
