Sunday afternoon we took Audrey to her very first baseball game. It was definitely a long afternoon for her, and while she didn't pay too close attention to what little action there was, she certainly liked all of the junk food she got to eat, and she did get excited whenever there was clapping/cheering. She even tried to help another little boy get into the game by yelling at him to "clap!". Her plea fell on deaf ears, but the Nats did come back to win with a walk off HR, which landed about 30 yards from our seats. Unfortunately, I had to watch it on TV because we left at the end of the 7th inning. We learned that almost five hours at the ballpark is already a little too much for a not quite 2 year old.

Block Party
A couple of weekends ago we had a good old-fashioned neighborhood block party on our street. Lucky for them, Grandpa and Gma were here to share in the festivities. While the weather didn't really cooperate, everyone made the best of it, and the kids didn't really seem to mind getting soaked anyway. Audrey's favorites were the bounce house and the sand table, which turned into more of a mud/bubble juice table quickly after the party started.
