PBA Training

So the "training" post may not be unique, but it's still fairly accurate. With the whole family off for President's Day last week, we decided to finally make use of the bowling alley right down the street. We were a little nervous with how the whole outing would go, with rental shoes, slippery lanes and heavy bowling balls just a few of the hazards involved. And of course neither of us anticipated the biggest hazard of them all, the ball return. Thankfully we made it through the only game we played accident-free, despite the kids constantly grabbing for the balls in a who-can-be-the-first-to-get-their-hand-sheared-off contest and trying to pick up their balls unassisted. Thank God for 6lb. bowling balls.

All in all we had a great time. Of course, Dad won the game, with Audrey coming in 2nd and Brennan a distant 3rd (Mom mostly supervised, and also managed Brennan's final 4 frame meltdown once he got tired of taking turns). Just a couple more years and we'll have enough Bardolfs for a family bowling team.
