This photo is from our 4th of July trip to the beach (meant to post it a while ago, but it's been hiding on Theresa's phone). We were hanging around outside, when we noticed what looked like a clam in the shallow water right off of the dock. Grabbed a clam rake from under the deck, and voila - instant clam-catching. Both of the kids were mesmerized by the clam, Audrey asking a thousand times about when it was going to open it's shell. It never did, so we decided to cook it up with dinner instead. No one had enough courage to eat it (we were all a little skeptical about its "goodness"), but it sat proudly on the table during the meal. And Audrey sure was proud of it - you can tell by the look on her face. And curious...she probably inspected it for about five minutes straight once it was cooked.
