Birthday Boy!!

We celebrated Brennan's birthday Sunday afternoon (8/19), mostly because we had another birthday party to attend Saturday afternoon. We figured he wouldn't know any different, until after we sang happy birthday to the other birthday boy, when Brennan pointed to himself saying "Bood" (nickname) like it was his turn next. We did end up singing to him later, as well as on Sunday, when he got the mother of all cakes baked from scratch, inspired by pinterest. It was a bittersweet celebration, marking his 2nd year in our lives while counting down the hours until we were joined by the newest arrival.
