We took Brennan and Audrey to the Nats' division-clinching loss to the Phils Monday night, though we can only claim attendance through the 6th inning. Despite pretty awesome seats through stubhub.com, the kids attention spans were only so long, especially after being packed full of junk food and sugar. The tally over 6 innings and just barely two hours: garlic fries, soft pretzel, a giant soda, peanuts, a hot dog and hamburger, two slices of pizza, Dip N Dots and some chocolate ice cream (not to mention a couple beers for Mom and Dad). Despite some scattered showers and no cover at our seats, the kids seemed to enjoy themselves and the experience in general, though it took Brennan a couple of innings to get used to the sound of 30,000+ fans screaming (each occurrence resulted in a couple of crying fits until he got used to it).
