Has It Really Been a Month?

It's hard to believe Millie's been around for a month already...but she's a good built-in excuse for lack of blog updates. Millie had her 1 month appointment with Dr. Myers at the end of last week. She weighed in at 9 lbs 5 oz, which we were told was a pretty healthy gain from her post-hospital weight. Things around the house have been status quo for the most part, though the ramp-up of kid activities (gymnastics, soccer and school for Audrey and My Gym for Brennan) lately have certainly made things more interesting.

The kids don't seem to have been phased much by Millie's arrival - they are interested in what she's doing, seem to be immune to her bouts of fussiness, and want to help make sure she's well taken care of. Audrey's favorite is holding her - and she's a great baby-talker. Brennan's preference is for kisses, though he needs to learn to dial it back a little - he can be a bit smothering, always walking around making kissy faces (which is how he lets you know he wants to kiss her). 

We've had a lot of visitors, which has been great, and even manged a trip to OC for Labor Day weekend. So far so good on other fronts as well. For the most part Millie is sleeping for good chunks of time at night - from 9pm to 2am or so, bottle, then back to bed until 7am. There have really only been a few exceptions at this point, so we're knocking on wood that the trend continues.
