Hurricane Sandy

We spent the night that hurricane Sandy came through the area in the basement, mainly to limit our paranoia of trees falling on the house. We had been meaning to try to take the kids camping before Millie was born, but just never found the time. So we decided to use the opportunity to break out the tent and give the kids a close-but-not-really camping experience. Story time was a little difficult without any overhead light, but the rest of the night went off (just like our power) without a hitch.
