We kicked off summer by spending the long Memorial Day weekend in OCMD. The "big" kids picked up right where they left off - splashing in the ocean, digging for sand crabs, rolling in the sand, and generally having a good time. The weather could have been better, but it also could have been worse - rain and chilly on Friday, too windy on Saturday to be beach-bound, but Sunday and Monday salvaged the remainder of the weekend with warm-ish days, although the water was still a frigid 59 degrees. If only the kids cared about how cold the water was. It was also Millie's first real trip to the actual beach (aside from a few minutes at Easter), and it went off without a hitch. A little digging, some water playing, a couple mouthfuls of sand...we're hoping that she continues to enjoy herself and completes the Bardolf beach baby trifecta.
