Thankfully, we have enough of a sample size now to say that Brennan really loves the beach. He still tries to avoid putting his hands in the sand when he can, but only when falling or trying to stand up...playing in it is not a problem for whatever reason. And he really likes the water, but can pretty quickly grow tired of just goofing around in the surf, which means his Dad actually has to take him into the water. Which is fine, but it's a delicate balance being in deep enough where he can splash the water (or else he's hanging out of your arms trying to), not too deep so you can't stand, and trying not to get either of you clobbered by waves. But we'll take an overly aggressive beach lover over a beach fearful kid any day. Here's hoping for 3 out of 3.

Father's Day Weekend
We spent Father's Day weekend in OCMD. Weather in the mid-70s sounded perfect during the planning process, but couple that with partly sunny skies and constant, cold-ish 15 mph breeze and it's certainly not perfect beach weather. It actually felt warmer in the water than out. But the kids could care less, and with a t-shirt on it really wasn't too bad. Still good weather for hole digging and sand castle building.
